Advanced Rules: General Knowledge

A few possible uses for general knowledge:

  1. You can use general knowledge to see if you have mastered something complicated that would otherwise need a roll (e.g. climbing a rope) to possibly get a boost to that roll.
  2. You can use general knowledge to determine whether you can use equipment and weaponry that isn't standard Tartarus equipment (such as enemy weaponry and equipment you might find on the battlefield). Otherwise using them would require exotic.
  3. You can use it to determine whether you have useful info on certain objects. (e.g. weak spots on enemy ships)
  4. You can use it to remember completely useless stuff that the gm can goof around with (e.g. proper court etiquette on Ironda IV)
