Plasma Streamer
A beautiful toy originally created by Mimir Corporation, the plasma streamer is big, bulky, and gloriously destructive. Capable of severing legs and even bisecting in instants, its messy spray leaves a telltale charred streak in the ground wherever it falls - your very own calling card. While the beam is terribly inaccurate at range, even a near miss can splash superhot plasma onto your target, wounding it, and if you so choose to swing the weapon from side to side, you can easily take out multiple hostiles each shot. Takes some time to recharge.

Additional Details

  • Is a plasma weapon that actually has recoil - that's right, this thing is massive
  • Stream starts weak and ends at full strength, creating a path of destruction that trails away from you
  • This means the last targets you target in a series are the ones you're most likely to hit
  • It also means that the fewer people you target, the more likely you are to hit
  • While bulky, it isn't necessarily that heavy - easily swung
  • Can make a decent melee weapon (or even a shield) in a pinch
  • Swinging the weapon in a significantly wide arc (180 degrees) will all but ruin your accuracy
  • Plasma stream is messy and difficult to accurately aim - but has a tendency to wound targets even behind cover
  • Plasma stream is powerful, and a guaranteed instant maim or kill for unarmored targets
  • Can even chew through light armor with a decent hit
  • Can target a maximum of four enemies on a single turn. No penalties.

Ingame Example

The recoil is astonishing, and the heavy weapon spits out a long, messy stream of plasma that gouges out everything it touches. It's difficult to aim, but the amount of power it packs is phenomenal. — GTD Mission 2, Turn 13
