Bubble Blower
The bubble blower is a gun. It blows little bubbles. The bubbles are fields maintained by nanotech. The bubbles will latch onto anything they hit. The bubbles can also be pre-programmed to redesign the molecular structure of whatever they land on, letting you change armor into soap. The bubbles are also very hard to aim, because you move them with your mind. Sometimes the bubbles miss. Sometimes the bubbles bounce. Sometimes the bubbles hit your ship. For your sake, let's hope the bubbles don't.
  • Creds: 3
  • Ammo: Lots of bubbles - enough bubbles for ten shots. Extra bubble magazines are 2 creds each, each containing enough bubbles for ten shots of bubbles
  • Requirements: One weapon mount
  • Rolls: Attacker's PSI Unit and Exotic vs defender's Engines and Durability

Additional Details

  • Bubbles do not reach target immediately
  • Bubbles can be redirected and controlled
  • Bubbles can be popped with skilled, spread fire
  • Bubbles are pre-programmed during launch to redesign molecular structures
  • Bubbles are drained of power, and "pop" on activation
  • Bubbles are prototypical and may glitch out, making them bounce backwards
  • Bubbles may come and chase you instead
  • Bubbles may cause the word "bubbles" to lose any meaning for you after extended use
  • Maximum of 2km before accuracy/timing falloff.
  • Needs Line of Sight, or for the target to be immobile.
  • Bubbles are about 0.33m wide. Upon the bubble core reaching the target surface, they essentially internally and externally corrode metallic molecular structures by 50% through the use of "fuzzy teleportation". In practice, this makes further weapon fire cleave through it like soap. It's also a guaranteed kill for computers.
